Easy to setup and works well with Cisco network hardware and Callcentric phone service. I really like the simple layout of the buttons and the locking feature. Too bad that the device is not better balanced. You can wall mount the phone which will obviously prevent tipping, but I like the phone on the desk. No problem using POE with this phone. |

If you don't know anything about IP phones and/or have no clues regarding configuring IP phones, please do not buy IP phones. IP phones work great only if you know how to configure the phones or you have a good support person or team that will help you configure the phones. I called the vendor for support, and they referred me to Grandstream which is the manufacturer of this phone. I called Grandstream and they don't offer phone support. The only way Grandstream can assist is by ticket system. Meaning you have to create an account with Grandstream for free and submit a ticket explaining what issues you're having with the phone. Grandstream will respond a couple of days later with some vague or convoluted solutions that only technicians can understand. Worst, Grandstream will tell you the issue is with your Voip provider. Then you contact your Voip provider for assistance and then they tell you they don't provide support for third party phone. Everyone is passing you around and then you get stuck in the endless loop of no help and no solutions to your phone. It's really frustrating and very disappointing. |

The negative reviews that say it's difficult to set up may not realize that this phone needs a SIP server or a system in place for it to work. I am using it with RasPBX (a FreePBX/Asterisk solution for the Raspberry Pi), and it is working perfectly straight out of the box with just the main SIP and network configuration needed. Its built in web configuration is also excellent and very straightforward and also has help tips provided as well. The IP address can be obtained right from the LCD with the press of a single button. For the price I was skeptical that the quality would be sufficient however it is definitely made with quality and the clarity is also very good. I will be looking to get more of these phones in the near future. |
